About Writing for Rhymes

This blog will focus on the trending changes and styles of the poetry people read today. We will focus mostly on writers of the younger generations and how to better our writing for the future. Please keep in mind that we are all learning together and that writing (of any kind) can always be improved.

We will write about the different types of poetry a  writer and/or reader should know about, especially nowadays. We will also discuss where to draw inspiration and how to create boundaries between your writing and anyone or anything that you write about. No one talks about how censored poetry should be but I think it’s an important topic to frequently discuss.

About me:

I am a college student studying Mass Communications and Spanish at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. I have been writing poetry and short stories since I was 13 years old and enjoy both reading and writing poetry. I am an aspiring journalist and a staff writer for my school’s newspaper The Blue and Grey.

My intention for this blog is to use it as a way of communicating with other poetry lovers and informing them of the news in poetry, trending things to follow and fun and useful facts about poetry. Hopefully we will learn a lot on this journey together!
